The Affordable Care Act, was signed into law on March 23, 2010. The law has 2 parts: the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act. The law reforms the medical insurance system in the United States in an effort to expand access to and affordability of health care for all Americans.

Students wishing to petition to work up to 25 hours per week during the semester should use the appropriate undergraduate or graduate petition form. The form should be submitted to the appropriate dean's office.
