3rd Party Partner + Project Updates
February 2026
With support from undergraduate and graduate admissions partners (which are part of the student facing application and downstream processes), development of the Slate environment is continuing in partnership with the implementation vendor, Carnegie. Following the initial kickoff and discovery phase, the team has focused on aligning data structures across Slate, Salesforce, and Banner to support multi-program applications, portals, and coordinated communications.
Recent work has included defining key fields and prompts, establishing governance practices for system updates, and planning the migration of Salesforce records while preserving lead-source history. Integration processes and timelines are being investigated to help teams quickly identify and resolve issues.
Operational planning for rollout is underway, including defining user roles and permissions, developing event templates and communication workflows, and evaluating payment integrations.
January 2026
Development Status: With support from both undergraduate and graduate representatives, development for two separate Slate instances is currently underway. In December, a kick-off meeting was held with the third-party implementation vendor, Carnegie, officially launching the project.
Discovery sessions with Carnegie are currently in progress, during which full system, process, and project requirements are being reviewed.

Implementation Milestone:
Undergraduate: The current target is for undergraduate applications to be ready for import and review in August 2026.
Graduate: The current target for graduate applications to be ready for launch is August 2026 with review and decisions coming online September 2026.
